Cuglieri is a traditional mountain-top village with a history stretching back to Roman times, today home to around 2,500 people. It offers an escape into the timeless rhythm of Sardinian life — a life shaped by the production of olive oil, wine, and pecorino cheese. For most of the year, Cuglieri is a serene retreat. For one month each summer and during Christmas, it fills with the joyful buzz of Italians whose roots are in the village, returning for their holiday.

The village has two good restaurants open year-round, several pizzerias, seven bars, and seven churches.

Just a 15-minute drive takes you to Sardinia's breathtaking western beaches, known for the best sunsets in Italy. The charming coastal town of Bosa is 30 minutes away. Cuglieri can be reached by ferry from France or mainland Italy, or via one of the island's three international airports.

About Us

Casa Orosei was the first house we bought and renovated in Cuglieri, and it remains the most luxurious. It was the first home we lived in, and the first we began renting out. Today, Casa Orosei holds a 4.97-star rating with over 260 reviews on Airbnb — an exceptionally high score. We have also overseen the renovation of six further houses in the village, mostly for other owners.

We are selling because our family is in the process of creating an albergo diffuso — a scattered hotel in the historic centre of the village — offering rooms, apartments, and entire houses, together with hotel-style services including breakfast, a restaurant, and a small spa with a pool. The buyer of Casa Orosei will have the opportunity to rent the house through our albergo diffuso whenever it is not in personal use.

About Buying with Us

The house complies with all regulations for rental and residential use. All documentation is in order and available. A local ingegnere (chartered engineer) can provide independent technical information if required.

We cooperate with a local estate agent if desired. Alternatively, we can arrange the signing directly with a local notaio (notary) and assist with all practical transitions — water, electricity, local taxes, and more — something we have done for many of our renovation clients.
